Hospitex at WHX Labs in Dubai: Great interest at the Aliko Scientific booth for precision cytology
Our participation in WHX 2026 in Dubai concluded with results confirming how much the market is looking for concrete, efficient solutions close to laboratories that are most attentive to the quality of cytological processing.
The WHX event brought together over 270,000 healthcare professionals and more than 4,800 exhibitors and delegates from over 180 countries, establishing itself as the region’s largest global healthcare appointment. Within the event, the area focused on diagnostics, WHX Labs, where the Aliko Scientific group was present with its own booth, recorded approximately 35,000 visitors, including over 4,500 distributors.
In this context, Aliko Scientific benefited from a steady and qualified flow of visitors to the booth: laboratories (end customers) and distributors from across the Middle East. This intense activity allowed us to collect approximately 150 targeted distributor contacts, from which we will select the partners to develop future commercial collaborations in the area.
Focus: Precision cytology and a truly “laboratory-centric” workflow
At the Aliko Scientific booth, Hospitex presented its solutions for precision cytology, consistent with our mission: to create simple, innovative, and effective tools capable of improving preparation quality and reporting productivity, with an approach that makes oncological diagnostics more precise and accessible even to small laboratories.
Among the solutions that captured the most attention, the CYTOfast processing system played a central role.
The CYTOfast Plus was the subject of numerous requests for information, demos, and follow-ups, particularly from distributors who are currently reviewing their strategic choices. The message gathered at the fair was very clear: more and more operators perceive the historic industry giants (such as Hologic and BD) as distant from customers, less flexible, and less reactive to the real needs of laboratories, especially in dynamic markets like the Middle East.
In this scenario, CYTOfast was recognized as a modern and pragmatic alternative because it focuses on elements that truly make a difference for laboratories:
- Standardization of monolayer preparation, also enabling Digital Pathology
- Optimization of output for subsequent analyses (e.g., FISH and immuno)
- Cross-sectional suitability for different types of tumors and samples
- Availability of residual sample for further analysis and second-level testing
- Process control and repeatability functions oriented toward productivity and quality
For many interlocutors, this combination translates into a key point: a system designed around the laboratory, not around “standard” logic imposed from above.
Next steps: Partner selection and development in the Middle East
The number and quality of contacts collected (approximately 150 targeted distributors) now allows us to open a subsequent phase: evaluation and selection of partners with the greatest local presence, application expertise, and long-term vision.
The WHX Dubai event was a true accelerator of opportunities: a chance to consolidate the Aliko Scientific Group‘s presence in oncological diagnostics and to bring the Hospitex proposal for precision cytology, process efficiency, and close customer support—ever closer to the highest-growth markets.
